The End Of Facebook?

THE END OF FACEBOOK?

The title of the article grabbed my attention, “Mark Zuckerberg Issues Dire Economic Warning to Meta Employees”, so I had to read it. Let me save you the agony of reading it yourself. Here are the highlights.

Zuckerberg tells the employees that the company faces one of the “worst downturns that we’ve seen in recent history” that will necessitate a scaling back in hires and resources.

So basically, this train is about to come into the station and many of you are going to be getting off

He went on to say that the employees should expect to do more with fewer resources and that their performance would be more intensely graded.

Who thinks Zuck needs to take some employee moral and coaching classes? If you don’t yet read the next one.

“I think some of you might decide that this place isn’t for you, and that self-selection is OK with me,” “Realistically, there are probably a bunch of people at the company who shouldn’t be here.”

So, am I right? What would your company look like if words like that were spoken by the owner?

Look I know times are tuff and some companies might need to be cutting back but come on folks. He used the words “Self-Selection.” Try that one at home. “Hi honey, times are tough and we need to cut back so maybe you should decide this isn’t the place for you and that’s ok with me.”

Let me know how that turns out for you.

Look, learning to be a better leader is not that difficult. It just takes some proper training and understanding.

If YOU would use the words above, call me.

If YOU HAVE used the words above call me.

If YOU BELIEVE he was correct, call me.

There is so many better ways to communicate with your employees, they shouldn’t have to read how little you value them in an article.

Leaders are not born a leader; they are born a man or a woman. They develop into a leader by what they consume.
