What Is Your Favorite Fruit?

What is your favorite fruit?

Peaches, bananas, cherries, plums? It really doesn’t matter, I’m not talking about that kind of fruit.

Yesterday, Ray Trevino talked about the word kindness, which is one of the fruits that I am referring to. Reading his post made me think about the other fruits and how they all play a part in leadership.

It doesn’t matter if you are a follower of Christ or not when it comes to these fruits. Many great leaders use them daily as an example of how you should act.

Let’s look at some of them now.

👉 Self-control. Are you able to control your words and actions towards others?

👉 Gentleness. This does not mean you are a pushover. It’s just in your dealings with others you “keep your attitude in check”

👉 Faithfulness. This is dedication towards others. It represents loyalty to your company and staff.

👉 Goodness. Do you try to do what’s fair to all? How do you speak to others?

👉 Patience. Are you willing to wait for something to be done without coming unhinged? How do you react to others?

👉 Peace. Do you stress and worry about things that are absolutely out of your control. Do you allow the world to dictate what’s important?

👉 Joy. Do you love what you do? Does it make you happy? Can those around you feel your excitement?

👉 Love. This is the greatest of all the fruit. Caring for others, loving others can be hard but as a leader if you truly care, your team will know it.

Again, follower of Christ or not, these fruits will help a leader be a better leader, and truly set them apart.

So I ask again, what is your favorite fruit?

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
