What Does It Mean to Build Rapport?
Building rapport is a crucial skill for both personal and professional relationships. In my next book, “The Marriage Steps of Selling,” I liken rapport to the often overlooked courtship phase of dating.

This is the process of establishing a connection, understanding, and mutual trust with someone else. Really getting to know the other person, showing a genuine concern.

The ability to build rapport is essential in many facets of life including business, sales, leadership, customer service, therapy, and friendships.

A strong rapport can lead to more effective communications and successful collaboration with others.

So what is it really?

👉 It’s about creating a genuine and harmonious relationship with others.

👉 It’s about establishing a sense of empathy, understanding, and respect.

👉 It’s about connection with others, sharing information, and engaging in meaningful conversations.

Rapport enables both people to understand each other’s perspectives and work towards common goals whether in business or in life.

So, how can one effectively build rapport?
