What do you do when your gut says to run?
Some call it intuition, some call it fear, some call it your built in safety feature. Whatever you call it, what do you do when your gut tells you to run?

We all get this feeling. The area of town we are in, the words we are being told, the creepiness of the guy who sits a little too close. You know what I mean.

So what should we do when our gut says to run?

I say you should learn to trust your gut! Here are some ideas you can practice to do so.

👉 Listen to your gut:

Pay attention to the feelings and sensations in your body. Your gut feeling may be a physical sensation like a tightness in your chest.

👉 Take small risks:

You can start building confidence with your gut instinct by making small decisions based on them. Document how they turn out along the way.

👉 Think of past experiences:

Have you ever ignored or followed your gut? How did those decisions turn out? Reflect on those experiences, it could help you trust your gut more in the future.

👉 Practice mindfulness:

Being aware can help you become more mindful of your thoughts and feelings, which will ultimately help you identify your gut instincts.

👉 Seek feedback:

Don’t be afraid to ask trusted friends or family members for their opinion on decisions you make.
It will help you validate your decision-making process.
