What can we learn from a football legend?
I woke up this morning to the news of the passing of the Steelers football great and Hall of Fame member Franco Harris.

Harris was one of the most prolific runners of his time. His ability to see a hole before it was there helped him gain over 12,000 rushing yards in his 13 year career.

He was also an incredible human.

What can we, as business leaders learn from this football legend?

👉 Don’t ever give up!
Down 7-6 with 22 seconds left in the game, he caught a deflected pass right before it touched the ground and ran it in for a touchdown. This play, dubbed the “immaculate reception” will always be remembered as the spark that started the Steeler Nation domination.

👉 It’s all about team.
Franco, along with Rocky Bleier, led the Steelers to 43 consecutive games of at least 100 yards rushing. The two were also the second backfield duo the each rush for over 1000 yards in a single season.

👉 Live a life of Generosity
Harris was involved in many humanitarian and philanthropic endeavors. He believed I giving back because it was the right thing to do.

This coming Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be retiring number 32. Planed well I’m advance of his passing, that day would have marked the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception.

May your legend live long Franco, thank you for the memories.
